You share a private link. When your recipient opens it, they see a sealed envelope with their name on it — they tap to break the wax seal and the letter unfolds with a beautiful animation.
Are my letters private and secure?+
Yes. Every letter is encrypted at rest with AES-256 — the same standard banks use — so the database holds only ciphertext. You can also add a password so only your recipient can open it, and letters are never public, indexed, or searchable. To be exact about what that does and does not mean: we hold the encryption key, because the letter has to be decrypted to be shown to your recipient. So encryption protects your letter from anyone who reaches the database — it is not a claim that we are unable to read it.
